BOANONG DARCY

Our Founding Sire, Boanong Darky (aka Darcy) was purchased from James Dudley’s Bonanong Kelpies stud, situated near Deniliquin in NSW, back in 2005. We wanted to introduce Boanong working lines into our stud due to their proven natural ability to work both sheep and cattle. 

Darcy was a very big, deep chested dog. He had good walk up and holding ability, with a strong presence on cattle and read them well. However he was very soft, yet strong, on small weaner stock and cows with young calves at foot. He worked well in both the paddock and yards. He had great natural ability and was a wonderful friendly dog.

Darcy sired 4 litters for Bimini Kelpies and the progeny went on to be very good workers on dairy and beef cattle, sheep and goats in Queensland and were also sent interstate. His breeding lines are in all our Bimini litters.
